President

Kyongsuk An 

NWCC Founder, Educator and Performer


Kyongsuk An was born in South Korea. She completed her master's degree in education in Korea and then came to the United States to pursue her doctoral studies at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. in 1982. While taking a language course, she had the opportunity to participate in a community event to introduce Korean culture in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Canada. Since 1987, she has been active in Korean cultural performances and has worked as an educator.


Over the past several decades, she has received numerous achievement awards and letters of appreciation for her Korean cultural events and educational activities. She has served as a private diplomat bridging the gap between Korea and the United States. The Friendship Festival, exclusively presented by the NWCC, continues to be an active cultural event and has received encouraging remarks from the governor and government officials. She also served as Arts Commissioner for the city of Lakewood.

Kyong worked as a high school teacher in Korea. She also worked as a teacher at the Tacoma School District and the Federal Way School District in Washington state for K-12. She teaches at a Korean language school and adult continuing education center in Tacoma.

Kyong has been a leader for 37 years, serving American and multi-ethnic societies as an educator, cultural performance director, and performer.

Vice President

 Jae Y Park  

 President of Media Group  


 Jae Y. Park currently serves as the CEO of a media company. He started his career as a journalist and later became the editor-in-chief. Mr. Park owns four companies including TV, radio, newspapers, and online news outlets.  


Over the past 30 years, he has been actively involved in serving the local community through various media platforms and has shown strong support for multi-ethnic communities. Leveraging his extensive experience in the media industry, Mr. Park provides guidance and sponsorship for innovative programs related to education, culture, and community events. 

SECRETARY

 Susie Livingstone 


 She is a seasoned travel agent with 25 years of experience in the industry. She pursued her business administration studies in the United States and has made significant contributions to society through her involvement in various Korean community organizations such as the Korean American Association of Washington, Korean Women's Association, Korean American Women's Association, Association of Commerce, and Korean Association. In these organizations, she has been involved in roles related to accounting, office work, and administration. 


As an immigrant family, she has successfully created a harmonious environment with her daughter, who is a successful real estate broker, her son-in-law, and her three grandchildren. 

TREASURER

 Minhee Lee


 Minhee Lee is a highly experienced professional with a diverse background. She has worked as a teacher at various institutions, including kindergarten and English academies, demonstrating her passion for education.

Minhee Lee is an immigrant to the United States, has experience working in banking and as a financial advisor, and will serve as an accountant and general manager at the Northwest Cultural Foundation non-profit organization starting in late 2024.

 Steve Ahn 


 Steve Ahn is a multi-talented professional who excels as an insurance broker, real estate broker, and investor. He is known for his honest work ethic, effective communication skills, and reputation for reliability. After completing his U.S. military service, he has dedicated a significant amount of time and talent to serving the local community for many years
